March 7, 2026 (6:30pm-7:00pm arrival time)
Camden Aquarium
Spend a night at the Camden Aquarium and sleep with the fishes! Scouts are invited to explore the aquarium after hours and take advantage of a unique opportunity to sleep next the exhibits!
Please note the following important details:
Address is 2 Aquarium Loop Dr, Camden, NJ 08103. It is a straight shot once you get off the highway to the Camden Waterfront. The parking lot is gated, well lit, and safe. Please plan on arriving between 6:30pm and 7:00pm Saturday 3/7.
Bring sleeping gear, (sleeping bag, foam pad, pillow, air mattress) air mattress and pads can not be bigger than twin size. The aquarium said anything bigger than a twin size is too big to allow people to get by safely. Toiletries and reusable water bottle should also be brought. You may be sleeping in front of exhibits like shark tanks so you may want to bring eye mask or ear plugs in case the light and noise bother you.
Outside food and drink are not allowed. Water bottles can be refilled by water fill stations, but please plan on eating dinner before you arrive. A snack and breakfast will be provided.
Wake up call is 7am and all gear must be moved to storage by 8am before a trip to the Shark Bridge and Hippo viewing.
IMPORTANT: Please fill out the Scouting HEALTH FORM and return it to your Den Leader prior to the trip (or bring it with you when you arrive at the venue). This form is required for all attendees participating in a Scouting trip like this one. If you are coming with your child, please fill out two copies of the forms (one for you, and one for your child). In case of a medical event or other emergency, one of the Pack leaders on the trip will have these forms with them to give to EMTs.
For more details on the event, please check out the official aquarium overnight FAQ.

Chanowich Court
Bring your scout's pinewood derby car to get inspected and impounded before the big race! We will weigh your scout's car and check the dimensions to ensure that the car meets all official requirements in order to compete in the derby. Cars that are not inspected ahead of time will not be able to compete in the derby on Sunday. If your car is too heavy, if the dimensions are wrong, or if there is any other issue, we will help you identify the issue and we can offer guidance on how to correct the issue before the derby on the following day.
Check-in will be at Tom Z's driveway this year.
Car requirements:
Must use BSA official kit and wheels
Total weight must not exceed 5 ounces (as measured by official pack scale and district scale)
If you are slightly over at weigh-in, commonly the easiest way to get back under is to drill away wood from the body with a power drill.
More details are posted in the official Pinewood Derby rules
Sunday, March 22, 2026 (3:00pm)
152 Maple Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701
We will be running our annual Pinewood Derby on the penultimate Sunday in March. This is an excellent opportunity for your child to design, build, and decorate their very own race car! The race fosters a healthy competitive spirit among the scouts in a fun and exciting setting. Over the years, scouts will see first hand how their designs have evolved, and they will understand the importance of iterative design as they hone their engineering skills through the course of their time in Scouts.
You can read through the official Pinewood Derby rules for Monmouth Council for more information.

On my honor I will to do my best to do my duty to God and my country, and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.
