Battleship New Jersey
All aboard! Join Pack 122 for an exciting "Night at the Museum" sleepover aboard the Battleship New Jersey. Scouts will explore this legendary navy ship after dark, enjoy exciting activities, and experience what it’s like to sleep in real sailor bunks.
This once-in-a-lifetime adventure offers hands-on exhibits, a guided tour, and plenty of fun surprises! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to dive into history and make memories that will last forever.
RSVP
If your scout is interested in participating, please let your Den Leader know. We have already made a reservation, but if there is space left, we may be able to add participants.
Costs
Sleepover Cost: $85 per person (adults and children)
Parking fee: $12.50
The Battleship New Jersey will require a $20 non-refundable deposit per person to reserve a spot. The deposit must be paid within 30 days after we register our group.
Deposits and payments can be made to Lion Den Leader, Tom; to our Cubmaster, Clare; or to your Den Leader. You may pay using Venmo or check.
More Information
Parent planning on attending should read the Welcome Package from the Battleship New Jersey.
For information about the ship and museum, please visit the Battleship New Jersey website. There is additional information specifically about the Overnight program here.
All participants must be at least 5 years old. Siblings are welcome, but each child must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Guests will be assigned to a sleeping berth on the ship for the night (just like real sailors would have used). The sleepover event is open to other groups as well, not just our scout pack, so we will be sharing the ship with other groups. Each guest should bring sleeping equipment and toiletries (pillows, sleeping bag, tooth brush, et cetera).
Boarding for the sleepover runs from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm. Once the boarding window closes, guests will not be allowed onto the ship, so please plan to arrive in time to complete boarding by 6:30 pm.
IMPORTANT: Please fill out the Scouting HEALTH FORM and return it to Lion Den Leader, Tom, prior to the trip. This form is required for all attendees participating in a Scouting trip like this one. If you are coming with your child, please fill out two copies of the forms (one for you, and one for your child). In case of a medical event or other emergency, one of the Pack leaders on the trip will have these forms with them to give to EMTs.
